Recently I had to go on an unexpected trip with 2.2 seconds to pack.  I could only bring a carry on, which as you know always poses a problem, because let's face it, one pair of our shoes could potentially fill the entire mini suitcase (especially the 5 inchers).

I had to think quick and smart and then it came to me...riding boots!  They go with everything, are comfy and best of all, because they go with everything, I could wear them on the plane and wouldn't have to pack shoes in my teenie tiny bag at all!  Packing problem solved.

The Tess by Barefoot Tess Britain boot was the perfect solution.  It's all of the above and more.  I got compliments throughout the entire trip and every time I have worn them since then.

13 Wishes

This is the worst! You go on a shoe site and see some killer shoes. You click your shoe size to narrow down the results and BAM nothing but fugly shoes. So disheartening! For example, I went to a site put in size 13 and an entire page of these in different colors popped up:

This prompted me to search high and low for pretty sandals up to size 13 because NOBODY should subject their feet to this hot mess.  Enjoy (big smile:)!

Ok.  Listen carefully.  If you have not been to Barefoot Tess lately (or ever) you are doing a disservice to your shoe collection.  They have A - MAZ - ING shoes in sizes 9 to 15.  For example, the new Gwyneth Urbana wedge (pictured top left).  Are you kidding me?  Simply sick!  Honestly, you could wear these with anything.  No offense to your clothes but nobody will be noticing what you have on because they won’t be able to take their eyes off of your foot art.

I was feeling wedgy so I selected some of their wedge beauties but BFT has every shoe you could ever think of in extended sizes that won’t produce foot cleavage (if you don’t know what that is put on a shoe that it too small for you and you will get it).

Open Season

I have a confession to make.  Only my first 2 toes are painted today.  I was not prepared.  I woke up to a BEAUTIFUL day and there was no mistake about it...I could officially wear open toed shoes!  However my toenails were definitely not official.  Don't get it twisted, no crispy feet here, but they were 100% not painted.  There was no way I was missing the opportunity to break out of the closed toe jail my feet have been in during these abnormally long winter months but I didn't have time to paint them so I painted the ones that mattered and called it a day.  My 2 toes couldn't be happier:)
