Attack of the Orange

Looking at the site, I think you can see that I LOVE color. I used to be stuck in a black, brown and white phase but from the moment I put on my first POP of color, I ran like a sprinter with it. However, orange was one of those colors that I thought I could never wear. I always thought that I was too orange for orange.

I couldn't have been more wrong. One day I put on an orange tank top and my world changed. Another parameter that I placed on myself was shed and I got that much closer to being fashionably free.

Dang. That was deep. You are just talking about orange Alicia. Calm down.

Story short: try everything! After all, you never know until you try (there I go getting deep again).

This is my 'pushing the limits at work' outfit. You are completely covered but it's so HOT that it borders on inappropriate:) You can also take it from day to night without running home to change...

1) Roll the sleeves up to 3/4 length, unbutton a couple of those buttons and take off the tights...

2) Take off the necklace, throw on some statement earrings and a bracelet...

3) Turn the purse into a clutch by tucking in the chain...

Cross Colors

I reached into my handbag yesterday and something was terribly wrong. I didn’t really know how bad it was until I pulled my hand out and there was ink all over it. You guessed it. A pen had exploded in my brown cross-body bag and ruined it :(

Of course there are WAY worse things happening in the world but for a split second my fashion world had ended. Straight handbag blues. BUT my frown quickly turned upside-down where I realized that this meant I could search for a new one…and the race was on!

I looked up the one I had, no luck, but then I found some that brightened my day in 2 ways; 1) they were ca-uute and 2) the colors were so bright that they literally brightened my day (#supercorny:).

Lashy Boho

OK...so it's still rainy and cold in most places but in my mind it's already spummer. No...that's not a typo. It's spring and summer put together. I want and crave both and it's easier to say them at the same time so...spummer is it. Anyway, back to the reason while we are all here...fashion. In the true essence of all that spummer11 is, I put together a tall BOHO inspired outfit that is laid back and flashy at the same time...yes...lashy:) OK, enough with the portmanteau's (Portmanteau: A blend of 2 or more words).
