SIMPLICITY

Chile…it’s spring! But the weather is going bananas. It doesn’t know what it wants to do. Make up your mind already!

I am really looking forward to warmth and the feel of the sun on my face but right now spring still has some winter tendencies. Thus, I split the difference with this outfit.

I threw in a little sweater action with some shorter sleeves. It’s warm for the morning chill but still works if the weather decides that it wants to change. The tall skinnies (crazy good right!?) also cover most of the leg but have the rip at the knee that provides a little air conditioning (ok…I know I’m stretching it a little here:).

The piece de resistance are these boots! I am in LOVE. Now…I am trying to buy less things (which we will talk about in another post) but when I saw these, I decided to treat myself. When you find a green boot in our size, you add them to the collection hunni! They are just the right color green, a soft suede and a bootie that doesn’t cut the leg but rather elongates it. You can wear these with pretty much everything, in every season! Did I mention that they come in sizes 11-14 and in a blush option? And all the tall girls did the happy dance!

Overall, this outfit really reflects where my personal style is morphing into...simplistic. Simplicity is key for me right now. I'm tired over overthinking. I want a wardrobe of pieces that are fiercely simple. This look definitely holds that title.

One thing about style is that it is ever evolving. You have the freedom and ability to change it not only for a season, but for a lifetime. Do what you do when you want to. Style is yours. Own it!

Sweat it Out

I completely get it. There are just some days where comfort it key. Those moments when you want to melt into a pair of sweats. Without a doubt, put them on a snuggle up! But sometimes those days fall on occasions where your typical sweats don't match the event that you are going too. Never fear! Accessories are here!

Pick out a comfy base. To pump up the chic simplistic vibe, I usually go for a solid color base but do you boo. Then throw on some statement shoes (that can easily be switched out for tennies right after the event) like these hawt mesh Michelle booties from Smash Shoes. I am in absolute LOVE! They come in sizes; 11, 11w, 12, 12w, 13 and 14 and also come in black (yes, you have seen them before because I rocked the black option in a previous post). And guess what? They are on sale right now for $79!

To finish the look I added this statement necklace from Forever 21. Under $10 and adds just the right amount of pow to this look.

Now I know you are dying to know! Where did you get those tall joggers!? I got them from Long Elegant Legs which is now a part of tall style powerhouse, Long Tall Sally. This style is no longer available but they have this 36" inseam option is is equally as awesome. There are also these options from Alloy Apparel in 37" as well.

So don't sweat the sweat days. Pump them up and rock them out! :-)

Winter Woes

I feel like winter just dropped in on us all at once. It went from a long t-shirt type of season to give me all of the layers you can and add a scarf situation. It's times like these where you need a fierce sweater and the chunky oversized sweater definitely fits the bill.

This Tall gem is one of those pieces that looks amazing but feels like you are wearing pajamas all day. Seriously, you feel like you are cuddled up in a blanket. The arm length is great (no cold wrists) and the body length is actually a proper tunic length.

Can we talk about the price for a minute. OK...so you know how most manufacturers add a katrillion dollars for every inch they add to a garment? Not THE HEIGHT. This sweater is only $50 which is a great price for all of that Tall sweater goodness.

I added some leather look leggings and my new converse babies to complete this look but you can rock some skinny jeans, a skirt, wide leg pants...really anything goes with this haute sweater.

Well...I really have nothing else to say about this FAB sweater so...until next time my Tall lovelies!

There are so many things I want to do when I find the one. Obviously, as someone who is waiting for her husband, sex is at the tippy top of that list (let's keep it real) but another more stylish point on my list of todos is to wear my man's clothes. I mean, it's a whole new, super comfy wardrobe that is already mine and he has no idea that he is building it for me right as we speak.

Until then, I have to make do with some select menswear inspired choices of my own and this oversized dress shirt from H&M definitely fits the bill. You can dress it up or down but the end result is always a sultry, fierce look. An oversized dress shirt is one of my must have options for spring and summer.

Today I paired it with a faux leather mini skirt but you can rock it with some ripped skinny jeans, shorts, really anything and create the same sexy style.

My foot candy is from a brand that is climbing to the top of my shoe heart with every style they release! The Mercedes is by Smash Shoes (also comes in black). They make some super hot styles in sizes 10-13. If you haven't checked them out...what are you waiting for!?! I have also reviewed the Rollie in a previous post and can't say enough about the brand that was created just for us!

This is also proof that you can walk in to a store and find something. It's an homage to #5 on my list of Tall Style Tips that Every Tall Girl Needs to Know...TRY EVERYTHING ON! You will have some misses but the makes are worth the trials!

PS. Yes I am aware that I need a tan. I tried a little DIY bronzing with some disastrous results (which I cleverly tried to disguise in my last post with makeup)  but until I master it, this is what you are going to get. A Tall Girls pockets can't pay for a constant spray tan and I definitely doesn't have the time or proper sun to lay out right now...ya feel me!

Catch ya later Tall Beauties! xoxo:)
