Open Season

I have a confession to make.  Only my first 2 toes are painted today.  I was not prepared.  I woke up to a BEAUTIFUL day and there was no mistake about it...I could officially wear open toed shoes!  However my toenails were definitely not official.  Don't get it twisted, no crispy feet here, but they were 100% not painted.  There was no way I was missing the opportunity to break out of the closed toe jail my feet have been in during these abnormally long winter months but I didn't have time to paint them so I painted the ones that mattered and called it a day.  My 2 toes couldn't be happier:)

Happy Monday

Footwear can save a terrible day.  For example, this morning I woke up and couldn't believe it was already Monday.  I was legitimately mad that I had to get out of bed, get ready and drag myself to the office.  I thought about all of the things I could be doing (mainly sleep) and was extremely pissed at the world for dealing me the "you have to be responsible and go to work" card. 

But then...an amazing excited feeling came over me and I jumped up out of bed...ran to the closet (actually I just opened it because I have a small apartment and am basically in my closet when I get out of bed) and found the ONLY thing that could turn my frown upside-down...a brand spankin new pair of shoes! Da da na na! I was up and out of the apartment as fast as I could shower, dress and slip the shoes on.

Moral of the story: save your new shoes for Monday's.  They are a bright spot in a terribly dark day.

Lashy Boho

OK...so it's still rainy and cold in most places but in my mind it's already spummer.  No...that's not a typo.  It's spring and summer put together.  I want and crave both and it's easier to say them at the same time so...spummer is it.  Anyway, back to the reason while we are all here...fashion.  In the true essence of all that spummer11 is, I put together a tall BOHO inspired outfit that is laid back and flashy at the same time...yes...lashy:)  OK, enough with the portmanteau's (Portmanteau: A blend of 2 or more words).  Check out this under $125 fit and let me know what you think.
